Our Purpose
Te Aitanga a Hauiti Centre of Excellence purpose is to promote, advance, support, develop and maintain excellence in the cultural, social, political, sporting and academic achievement and aspirations for Te Aitanga a Hauiti whānau, marae, hapu and iwi kaenga.

2020 - Begun the Uawanui Development Programme
2019 - Te Ahikā commemorations celebrated in Uawa
2019 - Year 1 Completed - Community Led Development Partnership with Department of Internal Affairs
2018 - Facilitated Uawa flood recovery efforts with Gisborne District Council
2018 - Maru Whakatipua Education Forum (Tairawhiti iwi collective)
2017 - Ūawanui won the Department of Conservation National Biodiversity Award
